CCDs with even numbers, i.e. 828, 428, etc. use the NTSC standard with frame rates of 29.97fps and those with odd numbers, i.e. 829, 429, etc. use the PAL standard with frame rates of 25fps.   Cameras with the NTSC CCDs output a resolution of 640 x 480 while those using PAL CCDs output at a resolution of 720 x 576.  Chips ending in AKA are color sensors while those ending in ALA are black & white sensors.  Note that PAL CCDs have one pixel dimension identical to their NTSC counterpart and the other slightly smaller.  This makes the PAL CCDs more square than their NTSC counterparts.
